The chain mail L-XL was made for wearers of average chest circumferences. It is wide enough to wear a gambeson underneath, has long sleeves and is approxamatly knee length. We suggest this chain mail for wearers with an chest circumference of app 90 cm to 125 cm. This way the chain mail can be worn over a gambeson and will extend to a maximum of 140 cm underneath the arms. The rings in the "armpit" are fully riveted. As shown on the picture, we recommend to wear the chain mail above a gambeson and with a belt, to readjust the weight. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a padded gambeson.The sleeves cover some 2/3 of the arms - still being considered a short sleeve chain mail - and reaches down to the middle of your thigh.We suggest to wear this chain mail with an average chest circumference from 90cm to 125cm. This way it chan be worn in combination with a padded gambeson and can extend itself to a maximum width of 140cm circumference. A belt can help to distribute the weight properly. The blank version is fully galvanized and does not rust. Oiled and browned chainmails are ungalvanized and are supplied with a high lubrication. Please remove the excess oil before first use. Ungalvanized chain shirts should be treated regularly with oil like Ballistol. The "Connor" chain bracers are inspired by historical finds and offer the protection of chain mail in combination with the comfortable wearing of leather bracers. They are closed at the back with 2 leather straps & buckles. The chain mesh is sewn all around with the bracers and edged with suede. We recommend combining them with padded bracers or arm wraps to protect against bruises and abrasions. In the variant 'oiled', the chain mesh is only oiled to protect against rust.
