Our "Guntram" ring armour is an enhancement of our well-known "Leopold" leather gambeson in combination with our "Berengar" ring armour. Steel rings woven into leather straps were sewn onto the leather gambeson. This leads to "Guntram" being a long armour coat, which can be closed and opened easily, does not interfeare with the wearer's movements while fighting, and at the same time offers a good protection. Haldur gambeson
The "Haldur" gambeson is a leather gambeson based on a historical model. The upper layer is made of fine sheepskin, and it is thickly padded to offer the wearer some protection and has detachable shoulders so it can easily be converted into a leather tunic. The roman chain mail was called the Lorica Hamata. The oldest picture dates back to 168 BC and shows soldiers in this specific mail armour. Ever since the 1st century BC the double shoulder mail was eliminated and the shirt was shortened. The "classic" chain mail was born and spread all over Europe.This flatened ring chain mail is made for men with a medium chest circumference. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a gambeson. It is made with short sleeves and reaches down to, approximately, the knees. The blank version is galvanized shiny (zincked), it is treated against rusting and will need only little caretaking. Ketill trousers canvas
Attention: The waistband of these trousers is very (!) generous. Please don’t be surprised by how wide they are; this is due to the design of a Rus pant. The lacing allows for individual adjustment for each wearer—the pleats are simply distributed evenly around the waist. Although it might not seem possible at first glance, these trousers can be laced very tightly and are suitable for slimmer individuals as well. The sizes for this type of trousers mainly refer to leg length and, importantly, calf width. The trousers are made after the historical model of the rush pant, which was worn in the eastern Baltic region up to the 11th century. The cut is very generous, allowing for a wide range of movement. The trousers are laced at the waist and behind the knees. A laurel wreath is a sign of glory, victory and honour. It is often used to supplement an existing coat of arms, perhaps after a victorious battle or a fulfilled quest. This filigree patch consists of two parts, so the width and circumference of the wreath can be adjusted to your liking. For technical reasons, not all leaves are cut out. However, this can easily be remedied with a scalpel before sewing. This patch is ideally suited to be affixed to shields, tabards or banners.
