Being found in the marches of Thorsberg in northern Germany, these trousers were named after this place: the "Thorsberg" trousers. Its cut is leading the following centuries trousers shape and was found even centuries later in modern Jeans. Our variation "Ranulf" is made from robust canvas material, is cut very comfortable and offers lots of movement. Following the historical pattern, these trousers have no open codpiece, no lacing inside the seam, not button attached. Richard chain mail 9mm riveted, long sleeve, blank
This “Richard” chainmail shirt is made from round rings that are fully riveted. This construction makes it especially resistant to tension – ideal for heavy use in LARP or reenactment. The bright, galvanized finish gives the weave an elegant appearance that suits many character concepts and is particularly low-maintenance. The cut is based on historical examples: it reaches to mid-thigh and features long sleeves, offering solid protection while allowing good freedom of movement. The “Richard” size roughly corresponds to L–XL and is well-suited for average adult builds. The exact origin of mail is not known, but the earliest examples were found to be made in the 4th century BC. One of the earliest discoveries is the mail from the Hjortspring swamp in todays Denmark. In the 12th and 13th century it developed to the most important piece of armour in Europe. This chain mail is made for men with a medium chest circumference. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a gambesons. It is made with long sleeves and reaches down to, approximately, the knees.The blank chain mail is finished in shiny zinc; the rings are treated electro-chemically, and therefore need a little less treatment, than untreated models. The oil finished one needs more care, we suggest to use Ballistol machine oil on a regular basis for treatment.
