The oldest evidence of boots was found on murals in the Spanish cave of Altamira. They are dated from 13,000 to 15,000 BC. Boots protect the foot and calves from cold and injuries. They were and still are indispensable for outdoor activities or in bad weather. Primeval hunters, knights, adventurers or pirates they all wear boots – for good reason!
The shape of turndown boots like the "Haddock" boots offered here was a rather late development from the commonly used riding boots. The long cuffs, which were supposed to protect the legs while riding, were folded down, which in time became a pure fashion trend. The turndown boots "Haddock" are made of soft synthetic leather. This makes them insensitive to moisture and almost rain-proof. The sole boasts an additional seam. You don't have to worry about soaked shoes and wet feet... Under the long cuff, there is a strap that can be used to close the boot. On top of that, it is tied with another strap at the ankle.
Another nice detail are the small brass buckles that visually fit our "Henry " series. We have designed the underside of the cuffs in such a way that they may also be worn folded upwards, which increases warmth and their protective effect. The light lining made of high-quality foam keeps the feet warm even during wet nights.
The "Haddock" turndown boots are costume boots. They are not designed for permanent use outdoors.

The second edition of our popular foam weapons is made out of a new material. It is more tear-resistant than our old foam and absorbs the energy of every hit. Moreover, we updated the handle wraps so that you can wield your weapon with a good grip and accuracy even in a heated battle. The "Hektor" short from our Battle-Standard series is designed as a classical knight's sword. A dual fuller adorns the blade, pommel and crossguard feature a slender ridge and are slightly curved. This is a straight, plain sword, the contours of which give it a very elegant and military appearance. Available in the colours gold and steel, it is a pretty and efficient weapon which is not only suitable for noble born characters and knights. The sword "Hektor" is also available as a longsword.Material: Foam, GRPTotal length: 84 cmBlade length: 62 cmWidth: 21 cmPlease note: Battle Standard products may have a hole on the flat of the blade near the point. This hole is created during production, a technical necessity in order to stabilize the core rod while the weapon is filled with foam. Moreover, further small holes may be present on the surface in other places. These holes are not to be understood as flaws and do not affect the foam weapon’s safety.Disclaimer: All items shown here were especially designed to safely portray fights in controlled environments like live roleplay events, theatre stages etc. The foam weapons are made with a glass fibre reinforced plastic rod as a core, fully encapsulated in soft foam to avoid injuries.
