Product information "Shapur lamellar armour"

The classic leather armour was designed along historical patterns from various pictures. The scales are squared and arranged vertically. They are interlinked with leather stripes to provide a full movability. Combine this armour with a padded jacket and/or a chainmail shirt to have the best possible historical armour.
If you plan on adding further scales, use the "Shapur" extension set with scales and strings.

The italian company "Fucina del Drago" (Dragonforge) is well known for their finest leather works. They use only premium leather for the highly detailed products. Elaborate hallmarking and the fine antique finish let these armours be a true eye opener.

Gold Quality leather grease

Leather is a very versatile material with lots of different properties. Shoes, accessories and armour can last, if maintained propperly, for many years. The "Gold Qualities" leather greases effectiveness is defined by its high percentage of bees wax - this is another reason for it cleaning your leather so good. It penetrates depply into the leather and seals it from dirt and moisture. Rub it gently into the leather by using a soft brush or cloth. After a short residence time the excessive grease is brushed off - appling too much grease will result in a saturation; the superfluent grease can be wiped off. Your leather product will let you know when you apply too much: we suggest to apply less grease, but more often. Not only leather can be taken care off with this grease, we suggest to clean steel armours light rust or polish drinking horns with it. Wooden articles profit from its bees wax ingredients as well. Puttees have been in use from the Iron Age until the medieval times. It was "reinvented" by the military and used as regular equipment for soldiers in World War I. and in the second World War. Be it Roman legionary or french soldier: this easy to put on leg dress warmes the calfs and protects from scratches and bruises. Our "Hamond" puttees are made from robust canvas fabric. With its 380 cm length, it can be used for wrapping up to the knee - even thicker calfs should get their share of warmth.
