Product information "Balthasar spaulders small"

The small shoulders "Balthasar " provide high stability with maximum mobility. Each of the four flexibly connected segments was fitted with a bead and the typical Balthasar riveting strip. This does not only look very noble, it also significantly increases the stability of the segments. Together with sturdy rivets made of solid steel, these shoulders hold many battles without deforming. They are well suited to complement a ' noble ' armor and for all armor carriers that want to show some prosperity.

Like all Mytholon plate shoulders, this one is of course compatible with all our plates gorgets.

Richard chain mail flat rings

The exact origin of mail is not known, but the earliest examples were found to be made in the 4th century BC. One of the earliest discoveries is the mail from the Hjortspring swamp in todays Denmark. In the 12th and 13th century it developed to the most important piece of armour in Europe. This chain mail is made for men with a medium chest circumference. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a gambesons. It is made with long sleeves and reaches down to, approximately, the knees.The blank chain mail is finished in shiny zinc; the rings are treated electro-chemically, and therefore need a little less treatment, than untreated models. The oil finished one needs more care, we suggest to use Ballistol machine oil on a regular basis for treatment. Mina spaulders

"Mina" was made as an armour for women. Naturally we had to resign from historical patterns, as equality was not that popular amongst the medieval knight. Today we are proud to announce, that there is a way to dress strong women for the battlefield - using this armour set, you will not only be good looking on the field of glory, ladies! The spaulders are, just like the entire "Mina" series, built similary to the "Balthasar" series: decorations with rivets along the edge beading are a returning design element in both armours. Both armour series can easily be combined with each other. A slim built and swung lines provide a delicate shape to these spaulders. Two moving pieces are flexibly attached by a leather strap to the top plate. The spaulders do not overlap the chest plate and are fastened to the gorget on the top and the upper arm with the bottom strap.
