The "Bernardo" pistol crossbow is manufactured in a small factory in Italy and impresses with its careful workmanship and reliable release mechanism. The shaft is made of sturdy wood, limbs, stirrup, safety and the trigger are made of burnished steel. The safety pin blocks the trigger and should be secured before cocking to avoid accidental firing. "Bernardo" can be dismantled for transport. To do this, the safety pin on the front has to be removed; the stirrups and limbs can then be removed. The crossbow has a draw strength of about 30 pounds. The shaft is made of robust wood, the bow and stirrup, as well as the trigger, are made of burnished steel. The safety pin above the release lever is easy to reach. This allows the crossbow to be quickly unlocked before each shot and secured again for reloading. Bernardo can be dismantled for transport. The cotter pin at the front must be removed, stirrup and bow can then be removed. Two bolt clamps are included in the delivery for bolts with different shaft thicknesses. These hold the bolts on the crossbow firmly and provide the necessary distance to the tendon. The bolt clamps can easily be changed with a screw. For our Bernardo bolts we recommend the bolt clamp for narrower bolts. These can be brought to the desired pressure strength by carefully bending them open. The bolt should always rest firmly over the entire length of the guide groove. The crossbow has a strength of about 30 pounds. Please always use them responsibly within the rules of your event. We recommend that you always load them in a secure condition and pay attention to your fingertips when shooting. The split for securing the stirrup as well as the string are available as spare parts from us. The limbs and stirrup can be reordered from the manufacturer if required.
