La tiara de "Lenora" es parte de una pieza para la cabeza llamada "Schapel" (diadema): un anillo de tela que se agrega a un pañuelo básico para la cabeza. La combinación da como resultado el "Gebende" (griñón), un conocido tocado medieval para mujeres. A partir del siglo XII, era inusual que las mujeres casadas mostraran su cabello abiertamente. Una combinación de velos y bufandas ceñidas, que además estaban atadas debajo de la barbilla, era el tocado más común y más utilizado.
