Hoshiro era un fabbro leggendario. Pochi hanno avuto l'onore di indossare una delle sue creazioni in vita, ma il prestigio ad esso associato è stata l'invidia delle più grandi famiglie. Passata di generazione in generazione, la sua tecnica misteriosa ha prodotto una lama con un bordo perfetto, e il manico era fatto su misura per adattarsi alle mani di chi lo avrebbe usato.Molti cercarono di comprare queste spade, ma l'artigiano aveva una regola d’oro: solo i valorosi potevano.
