"Armin" is a medieval headwear for men. It is available in three sizes to accommodate almost any head size. We recommend customizing the "Armin" cap with additional decorations, such as a trim, feather, or brooch. Regarding the history of this headwear, it is an evolution of the so-called "Pillbox" and is referred to as an Italian beret. It was mainly worn by city dwellers and wealthy citizens from the late Middle Ages to the Renaissance in Southern Europe. While the youth tended to wear the cap to the side, it was worn upright by cardinals and high-ranking individuals (see the Doge of Venice, for example).

This way it can be worn even on top of padded thigh guards and completes many full plate armours. It is being tied to the wearer by using a belt for the two laces and attached to the leg and knee with buckle-straps. The knees outer side is closed by a shell (knee-plate), so that blows and strikes can not cut the important parts. The leg guards ends just below the knee and can therefore be worn with greaves or seperatly: both ways are possible and depend on the wearers' decision. Material: 1.2mm steel
